That was a really beautiful remembrance of your mom, thank you. And don’t be so hard on yourself for not being aware that she knew she was dying; you were a kid. Finally,I bet you see her immediately in the hereafter, becauseI have a hunch that when we come into our full spiritual beings, we have shed our earthly suffering and are nothing but love.
Thank you, Tristen. Although I was in my 20's, I really was still a kid in so many ways. And I love that thought - that's she'll be the first person and I see and all we'll feel is love for each other. ❤️
Thank you for continuing to give us vulnerable insight on your mom, as well as your relationship with your mom. I'm still figuring out mine as we are still somewhat strangers, but I know your mom would be proud of you and what you have accomplished so far. Did you ever consider following in her path of natural/holistic medicine?
Thank you for saying that, MJ. I'm grateful to have people who share in our story. In complicated parental relationships, the "figuring out" part feels like a lifelong process. I hope I've made her proud. As for the holistic medicine - in a way, yes. I've studied some of the modalities she taught me (for use in my own life) and want to learn more once I have space to breathe. One of my dreams is to study herbalism in Mexico, I feel like she'd support that.
Whew. So much to digest here. First, this is achingly beautiful. And after that... I'm not sure. Except this just validates what I already knew: you are one of the best writers I know of today. Every day, I wish that your power as a writer didn't come from your incredibly painful life. I'm part of your community, and we will help you find ease in this life, so you don't have to wait for the next one
“We will help you find ease in life, so you don’t have to wait for the next one.” That hit me hard. That’s what I yearn for - to experience the goodness of this one incredible life I’ve been gifted. I love this comment and I love you. Thank you, Kay.❤️
So much love to you, Robin.
Thank you for the love, Emil. ❤️
