Poverty Sucks community, thank you for sharing space with me this year. 

This is a community where I’ve been able to heal, feel seen and be heard. I’m grateful for every word you’ve read. 

My goal for Poverty Sucks is for it to be financially supported by individuals who have resources, and open access for anyone who may not.

In other words, I do intend for it to be a revenue stream one day. However, I also want anyone to be able to read it regardless of funds.

I currently have 190 subscribers. 

53 are paid. 

My community care experiment to close out 2023 is this:

• If you want to upgrade to a paid subscription but it’s not in the budget, then share a quick note in the comments.

• If you’re able to sponsor or gift a subscription, then connect with a community member in the comments who wants one.

My goal for 2024 is to only have to write about poverty and not have to continue to live in it. Every paid subscription helps get me closer to that goal. (And Mexico, it helps get me closer to Mexico too.) Because poverty? It really does suck.
